Tensions are rising in southern Lebanon, where four people were killed in Naqoura and three in Tayr Harfa in Israeli raids early this evening.

Two minutes after evening prayers, the Israeli air force attacked a house in the village of Tayr Harfa with two missiles, killing three people and wounding several others. The bodies of two people missing, were found later.

While the first missile failed to explode, the second destroyed the house where a group of men were gathered.

Around the same time, the Israeli air force also targeted a café in Naqoura, killing four people, two Amal fighters and one civilian, and wounding several others. Later in the evening, Hezbollah announced the death of four of its fighters, without specifying where they had been killed.

In addition, the area around the villages of Aita al-Shaab, Blida, Odaisseh and Mays al-Jabal came under Israeli artillery fire.

Earlier in the afternoon, an Israeli raid targeted a crossroads in the village of Taybeh. Israeli artillery also targeted residential areas in the village of Kfar Kila.

Last night, a violent Israeli raid killed seven rescue workers at an Islamic Emergency and Rescue Center in Hebbariyeh, belonging to the Jamaa Islamiya, while injuring several others.
