A southern citizen of the town of Rmeich “stood up to a group of Hezbollah members who were about to install a rocket launcher in the town,” according to information obtained by This is Beirut.

According to the same source, young people from the municipality of Rmeich “confronted a group of Hezbollah members, one of whom fired two shots in the air.” The young people then “rang the church bell to frighten away the pro-Iranian group, which then “withdrew” in a climate of high tension.

Following the incident, the leader of the Kataeb party, Samy Gemayel, reacted on his X account, saying, “All solidarity with our people in Rmeich.”
