An informed Arab official, quoted by a Lebanese politician, affirms the success of the meetings held in Riyadh, Cairo and Doha in reaching an agreement soon within a “Ramadan ceasefire.”
This ceasefire according to the Arab official would turn into a fixed and permanent truce, accompanied by the implementation of a plan to release hostages and release all prisoners in Israel, and “emptying” its prisons.
The Arab official considers the escalation on some fronts, especially in southern Lebanon, aimed at improving the negotiation conditions, gaining more advantages and adhering to high conditions, especially from the Israeli side.
The official reveals that all parties related to the conflict will adhere to the ceasefire, and stability will prevail on the fronts from Gaza to the South, contrary to what Israeli officials promote.
He also states that during the “Ramadan ceasefire,” the Paris Quintet will move quickly to fulfill the requirements and elect a president. The official places the visit of the French envoy to Lebanon, Jean-Yves Le Drian, in the context of hastening the agreement to elect a president during the “Ramadan ceasefire.”
