Political figures from various backgrounds continued to visit Beit al-Wasat, where former Prime Minister and leader of the Future Movement, Saad Hariri, extended a welcome to the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, General Joseph Aoun, on Friday.

On the sidelines, Hariri received a phone call from Maronite Patriarch Archbishop Bechara al-Rai, during which they discussed various current issues. According to the “Al-Joumhouriya” media outlet, Hariri also received a call from the former President of the Republic, Michel Aoun.

Among other visitors to Beit al-Wasat were Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary; Caretaker Minister of Health, Firass Abiad; and Deputy House Speaker, Elias Bou Saab.

Other names include former Maronite Archbishop of Beirut, Boulos Matar; Secretary-General of the Tachnag party, Hagop Pakradounian; the leader of the Renewal bloc, Michel Mouawad, accompanied by former MP Jawad Boulos; MP Mohamed Sleiman, leading a delegation from the “National Moderation” parliamentary bloc; former MPs Mohammad Itani and Hadi Hobeich; and the new President of the Beirut Bar, lawyer Fadi Masri.

On the diplomatic front, Hariri was joined by the Ambassador of Palestine to Lebanon, Ashraf Dabbour, the Ambassador of Jordan to Lebanon, Walid Hadid, and the Ambassador of Brazil to Lebanon, Tarcísio Costa.
