Political sources close to the Shiite duo have been told that “Iran has no veto over any presidential candidate. Similarly, it has no veto over the appointment of a prime minister. What Iran wants on the Lebanese scene is implemented by Hezbollah, and therefore Iran does not need to express negative positions regarding what is happening in Lebanon because what Hezbollah is doing is sufficient and satisfactory.”
