The Israeli army expanded its attacks geographically, extending beyond the southern Litani River, targeting villages and towns in the South that had not been targeted since the beginning of the war in Gaza and the cross-border exchange with Hezbollah.

This coincided with the launching of illuminating bombs over the border villages adjacent to the Blue Line.

The Israeli army escalated its violations on Monday night in the villages and towns of the western and central sectors. An Israeli airstrike hit a house in the town of Majdel Selm, destroying it completely, resulting in the death of one person and causing two injuries. Additionally, there were severe damages to properties, electricity and water networks in the town. The heavy artillery also shelled the outskirts of the towns of Naqoura, Alma al-Shaab, Tayr Harfa, Dhayra, Aita al-Shaab, Chihine as well as Mount Labbouneh and the surroundings of the town of Naqoura.

In response, UNIFIL forces remained in their positions and sounded alarms multiple times during the Israeli shelling.
