A three-year-old girl (M.Z.) was admitted to the emergency room of the government hospital at al-Qobbeh in Tripoli on Thursday, “following abuse by her stepmother,” according to security sources.
The young girl exhibited numerous burn and bruise marks. According to the same source, “The worst kinds of abuse and violence were inflicted on the little girl,” who is currently being kept at the hospital.
An investigation is underway.
