A woman and two men were killed late on Tuesday evening in an Israeli air strike in Bint Jbeil, a southern Lebanese border town where clashes are a daily occurrence between Israel and the pro-Iranian Hezbollah.

The Israeli aircraft carried out a raid on a residential home in the center of Bint Jbeil, about two km from the border with Israel where a young man named Ibrahim Bazzi, his wife Shorouq and his brother Ali, a Hezbollah fighter, were killed. A fourth member of the same family was wounded, speculated to be the father of the two young individuals. Ibrahim Bazzi was a Lebanese man living in Australia, “who had returned to Lebanon a few days ago to take his wife to Australia.”

In the latest field developments, Israeli warplanes flew at medium altitude over Beirut, Mount Lebanon and several Lebanese regions on Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, the outskirts of the town of Naqoura was being subjected to retaliatory artillery shelling, and alarms sounded at the UNIFIL headquarters. Additionally, anti-aircraft missile sounds were heard in the area.

The Labbouneh forest in the areas of Naqoura, extending to the forests of Dhayra and Yarine, is being subjected to artillery shelling using 155 mm caliber.

As the area of conflict expanded between Hezbollah and the Israeli army, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flew incessantly over the western and central sectors throughout Tuesday night, coinciding with the launching of flares above the bordering villages adjacent to the Blue Line, reaching as far as the city of Tyre. Drones targeted a car on the road between two towns.

For its part, Hezbollah launched missiles from southern Lebanon towards Israeli sites in the Shebaa Farms and Upper Galilee.

The pro-iranian party also announced the death of one of its fighters, Ali Bazzi.

On Tuesday night, the Israeli army targeted the hill of Hamames with four artillery shells. Moreover, it shelled the outskirts of towns including Naqoura, Jabal al-Labbouneh, Alma al-Shaab, Tayr Harfa, Shama, Aita al-Shaab, Um al-Tut, Dhayra, Rmeish and Yaroun. They also used phosphorus bombs on the outskirts of Bayt Lif and al-Qawzah.
