The heavy rainfall in Tyre, the South and its surrounding areas resulted in collapsed roads, particularly in al-Abassiya and Toura along the al-Abassiya road. The collapsed roads led to material damage to the Ajami building, Tarek Shour Gallery and Ibrahim Dabouk Hall. A wall at the Al-Abassiya Official Secondary School collapsed as well, resulting in damages to material possessions.

Furthermore, rainwater inundated the streets in various parts of Tyre. The torrential downpour transformed streets into marshes and rivers, which led to road closures as water flowed through the stones and gravel.

In response to the situation, Civil Defense teams from the Islamic Risala Scouts and local municipalities in the area have taken action. Several municipalities in the Tyre district, along with various local associations, have mobilized efforts to clear roads obstructed by rocks and debris caused by the heavy downpour.

Moreover, heavy rainfall during the morning hours in the Dennieh region led to significant disruptions, including a rock and soil collapse on the road from Bkarsouna to Marbin and the Brisa Dam in the highlands of Dennieh. The incident occurred near Qalaat, impacting local transportation infrastructure.

The main road connecting Dennieh to Hermel has been severely affected as well, compounding the challenges faced by residents and commuters in the region. Stranded citizens, unable to navigate the disrupted roads, have reached out for assistance.

Citizens who found themselves stranded with their vehicles have urgently called on Civil Defense and municipal workshops to join efforts in clearing the debris from the impacted roads. The collaboration aims to expedite the reopening of the roads, providing relief to those affected by the natural obstacles resulting from the heavy rainfall.

Simultaneously, in Nabatieh, the National News Agency reported another consequence of the intense rain and floods. A rock wall collapsed onto a car park in Kfarjouz, resulting in material damage to more than eight parked cars. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the challenges posed by extreme weather conditions and the importance of swift response and assistance in mitigating the impact on local communities.

Earlier in the morning, Civil Defense personnel worked to tow eight cars and rescue citizens trapped inside them due to water accumulation caused by the intensity of the rainfall. They assisted them in safely continuing their journey in Amchit-Jbeil.

In addition, Civil Defense members worked on towing two cars and rescuing the citizens trapped inside them for the same reason. They also assisted them in safely continuing their journey on the Fidar-Jbeil bridge.

On another note, Civil Defense personnel pumped water from inside two apartments in a residential building due to the intensity of the rainfall in Batroun and Jbeil. As for the damages, they were limited to material possessions.
