The Ministry of Energy announced a new fuel price index on Friday as Lebanese citizens rushed to gas stations to stock up on fuel ahead of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah’s speech set for Friday afternoon, in which he is expected to announce his party’s position on the raging war in Gaza between Hamas and Israel.
The price for 20 liters of Fuel 95 and 98 Octane has increased by LBP 2,000. The price for 20 liters of Diesel has decreased by LBP 8,000, and the price of the gas cylinder has remained the same.
The new prices are as follows:
Fuel 95 Octane: LBP 1,588,000
Fuel 98 Octane: LBP 1,628,000
Diesel: LBP 1,673,000
Gas Cylinder: LBP 960,000
