A precarious calm prevailed in southern Lebanon on the morning of Wednesday, November 1, following sporadic yet violent Israeli airstrikes on Tuesday evening that hit several villages near the Blue Line, from Naqoura to Ramia.

Israeli aircraft carried out strikes targeting a house in Bint Jbeil and injuring residents, while flare bombs were still being thrown over the area.

Israeli Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said on Wednesday that the army had shot down a surface-to-air missile launched from Lebanon towards a drone on Tuesday night. The Israeli army released a video purportedly showing the launch site within Lebanese territory from which the missile was fired.
