For the first time in the history of the Lebanese Forces (LF), elections for the party’s president, vice president and executive committee are underway on Sunday, October 29.

The ballot aims to fill 11 seats distributed to represent South Lebanon, Beirut, Mount Lebanon, North Lebanon, the Bekaa and abroad. The electoral process is carried out online by phone or by visiting one of the 20 mega-centers set up in the regions. By early afternoon, 16,630 party members had already voted out of the 31,107 registered on the electoral roll.

As for the two candidates for the Bekaa, they were elected automatically. The mega-centers were due to close at 4 PM and the election results were to be posted at 7 PM.
