Sheikh Nabil Kaouk, a member of Hezbollah’s central council, emphasized on Friday that “it is crucial for all Lebanese to understand that the aggression against Gaza affects the entire region.” He went on to specify that “Lebanon is among the primary targets of this war.”
During a ceremony organized by Hezbollah to honor one of its members killed in an Israeli attack in the southern part of the country, Sheikh Kaouk emphasized that “each bullet and missile fired by the resistance from the south primarily serves to protect Lebanon.” He also stressed that “those defending Gaza in the region are defending themselves.”
Additionally, Sheikh Kaouk made it clear that Hezbollah is not concerned about American threats, stating that “history attests that we are the architects of victory.”
He further condemned the fact that “despite the numerous atrocities committed against the Palestinian people, the Israeli flag still flies in cities like Manama, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Amman, Rabat and other Arab nations.” He expressed regret over the military and security cooperation between Israeli forces and Gulf countries that have normalized their relations with Israel.
