Tensions on the Lebanese-Israeli border resumed late on Wednesday afternoon. Warning sirens sounded in Kiryat Shmona, Kfar Yuval, Margaliot, Ma’ayan Baruch, Ghajar, Kfar Giladi and Tel Hai, in Israeli territory near the Lebanese border.

Hezbollah fighters launched a missile attack on Israeli positions in the hills of Al-Soummaqa, Rouwaisat Al-Alam, Batra, the Shebaa farms and Kfarshouba. In response, the Israeli army claimed to have struck three sites in Lebanon. Moreover, the outskirts of the villages of Kfarshouba, Bastra Al-Mari Farm, Halat, Al-Hebariyeh and Al-Fadis were subjected to artillery and missile bombardment by the Israelis.

In a statement, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for “the attack carried out on Wednesday against the Jal El-Alam sites, the Zra’it barracks, and the Al-Bahri site, located opposite Ras al-Naqoura (on the Lebanese-Israeli border), with guided missiles.”

The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesman, Avichay Adraee, denounced the above-mentioned strikes on his X account.

In a separate statement, the pro-Iranian group also claimed to have attacked a soldiers’ assembly center and a surveillance and reconnaissance system on Al-Tahayat hill, south of Al-Manara, with guided missiles on Wednesday afternoon, causing numerous casualties.

This strike is said to have disrupted Israeli spy and observation towers, according to the Lebanese daily An-Nahar.

Additionally, an anti-tank missile was launched from Lebanon in the afternoon towards a military facility located in Manara.

Israeli media outlets have reported the activation of air defense systems over Shlomi, along the Lebanese border.

In retaliation, border villages Aita al-Shaab and Ramyah experienced artillery bombardments from Israeli forces.
