A Reuters journalist was killed and six others wounded, including two from the pan-Arab Al-Jazeera channel, in the village of Alma el-Chaab in southern Lebanon, in an Israeli bombardment following Hezbollah fire from the village against four Israeli military posts across the border.

According to the daily An-Nahar, a group of journalists had taken up position on a hill near the border. An Israeli missile landed near them, killing Issam Abdallah instantly and wounding his colleagues, who were immediately rushed to a local hospital. the journalists are Carmen Jokhadar and Elie Brikha (al-Jazeera), Christine Moustapha Assi (AFP), who suffered serious injuries to her arms and legs, Dylan Collins, Thaer Zouheir Kazem and Maher Nazih Abdel-Latif (Reuters).
