A breakdown occurred on Wednesday in the electronic customs system at the Port of Beirut, causing congestion in the traffic of trucks loaded with goods for over four hours and interrupting the completion of import and export customs clearance operations.

Speaking on Voice of Lebanon Radio, Marwan al-Yaman, head of the Lebanese Shipping Agents’ Union, urgently called the relevant authorities to repair the emergency malfunction as quickly as possible to avoid further losses to goods and trucks, as well as ships.
