Israel accused Hezbollah on Monday of setting up a small airport in Southern Lebanon, close to its territory.

During an international conference addressing security issues, the Israeli Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, directly accused Iran, in his speech on video, of developing an airport through Hezbollah. According to Reuters, cited by An-Nahar, the Israeli Minister displayed aerial images of the alleged site.

“The airport is located 20 km away of Metula, on the Israeli Frontier,” declared Gallant. He also indicated that the airport “could presumably accommodate medium-sized planes.”
