The president of the Lebanese community in Gabon, Hassan Mezher, announced on Wednesday that the whole community is doing well after the coup d’état that happened in the morning.

“The situation is almost normal, the Lebanese are in their homes and following the recent developments, they are doing well and their properties and businesses are safe,” he said.

Mezher also assured that his team “is collaborating with the Lebanese Ambassador to Gabon, Aline Younes, who is exerting all her efforts to respond to the demands of the Lebanese,” stressing that telecommunications were restored after three days of interruption, which reassures the Lebanese in Gabon and their families in Lebanon.
