The Palestinian Labor Authority held a meeting on Tuesday at the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Lebanon. The officials addressed security and social conditions in the Ain el-Helweh refugee camp following recent events of violence and assassination of Palestinian figures.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Lebanon, the head of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, a representative from the army leadership and delegates from the Amal Movement and the Popular Nasserist Organization.

The meeting emphasized a shared commitment to ensuring security, tranquility and dignified living for the residents of the Ain el-Helweh camp and neighboring Lebanese communities. Discussions were based on a report from the investigative committee by the Joint Palestinian Labor Authority.

An agreement was reached on the follow-up mechanisms, beginning with the handing over of suspects in the assassinations and of anyone implicated in the investigations, according to the reference of the Lebanese State, to the Lebanese judiciary.
