The Mayor of Kahaleh, Tony Abi Khalil, said in an interview with This is Beirut that Fadi Bejjani, whose funerals will take place at 4 p.m., “died defending Kahalé”.
Bejjani was killed on Wednesday during an exchange of fire between the inhabitants of Kahaleh and Hezbollah militiamen.
