Caretaker Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi stressed that security measures have been implemented to protect citizens and foreign and Arab tourists in Lebanon. He also affirmed that “the Lebanese state does not cover any criminal or culprit or organization.” These statements were made in a conference held on Monday to address the recent alert messages sent by embassies of some Arab countries following recent incidents of violence in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain-el-Hilweh although a ceasefire has been enforced and respected for the fourth consecutive day.
