Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Sunday that “the timing of the Palestinian clashes in the Ain al-Hilweh camp is suspect given the current regional and international contexts.”
Mikati also indicated that “these clashes are an attack on the essence of the Palestinian cause, for which thousands of martyrs have sacrificed their lives and for which the Palestinian people have made enormous sacrifices,” adding that “all Palestinian parties concerned must put an end to the recurrence of these clashes.”
