The Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of North Lebanon, Judge Matilda Touma, has initiated proceedings against the maternal grandfather and mother of Lyne Taleb, a young girl who died in early July under suspicious circumstances. The grandfather is accused of assaulting the girl, while the mother is accused of concealing the crime.
According to an-Nahar, the judge has handed over the case file to the first investigating judge of North Lebanon, Samaranda Nassar.
