Presidential candidate Jihad Azour expressed gratitude on Wednesday to members of parliament who voted for him in the twelfth electoral session in which MPs failed once again to choose a new head of state.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the parliamentarians who placed their trust in me and voted in my favor in the first round. I hope that future political steps would lead to a convergence of views to pull Lebanon out of the crisis,” Azour said in a statement.
