The United Nations peacekeepers, commonly referred to as Blue Helmets, commemorated 75 years of their vital peacekeeping endeavors worldwide on Monday. In light of this significant milestone, our team from “This is Beirut” had the privilege of engaging with a select group of the 10,000 dedicated individuals serving within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), widely recognized by its acronym: UNIFIL.
