The Bahraini Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday its decision to resume diplomatic representation at ambassador level with Lebanon.

According to a statement published on the Ministry’s website, the decision comes “in implementation of the directives of the leadership,” and aims “to strengthen the brotherly relations between the two countries and its peoples and promote mutual respect, in accordance with the principles of the Charter of the League of Arab States, and the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961.”
