The Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdellatif Deriane, stated on Saturday that the Arab solidarity demonstrated during the 32nd Arab League summit held in Saudi Arabia on Friday, as well as in the Jeddah Declaration, will have a positive impact on all regional countries.
“The solidarity of Arab countries with Lebanon should encourage the Lebanese to elect a president as soon as possible,” he emphasized, “especially since the country cannot survive without the election of a head of state, the formation of a government, the reactivation of institutional work, and the restoration of political, economic, and social stability.”
The Mufti also praised Saudi Arabia’s commitment to promoting development and stability in the region.
