Plumes of smoke were seen on Monday in Furn al-Chebbak, Hazmieh. The smoke came from a fire that erupted near “City Center.”

The fire coincided with Israel breaking the sound barrier over villages in southern Lebanon, echoing in Beirut, its southern suburbs (Dahyeh), Metn, and Keserwan.

Amid the ongoing war in South Lebanon since October 8, 2023, and continuous threats from Israel and Iran, many residents of the capital feared that an Israeli raid had occurred. However, this was not the case.

No injuries were reported from the fire.
