The legislative session scheduled for Thursday did not take place, due to a lack of quorum. Parliament’s Secretary General, Adnan Daher, announced that 53 deputies were present and that the session was postponed.
Only MPs from Hezbollah, the Amal movement, the Progressive Socialist Party and some legislators close to the pro-Hezbollah March 8 camp, as well as a few independent MPS, notably Nehmat Frem and Jamil Abboud, were present in parliament. Of the 65 parliamentarians required for a quorum, only 53 were present.
