Jihad Azour, Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department at the International Monetary Fund, is temporarily suspending his activities within the institution.

“Right now he’s on vacation,” IMF communications director Julie Kozack said Thursday.

Azour, a former finance minister, was endorsed by anti-Hezbollah blocs in parliament as presidential candidate facing Marada leader Sleiman Frangieh.
