Israel is reportedly exploring an unconventional approach in dealing with Hamas leaders, Yahya Sinwar and Muhammad Deif, by considering not killing them but rather granting immunity and relocating them to Qatar or another country.

Such an agreement would only be entertained within the context of a broader solution, securing the release of all hostages in Gaza and concluding the conflict with the terror group. The information was drawn from several unnamed Israeli sources cited by The Times of Israel in a Sunday report.

This development coincided with the confirmation by Israeli officials on Sunday that Egypt had presented a new proposal for a truce in the ongoing conflict with Hamas, coupled with the release of additional Israeli hostages held in Gaza. Some sources suggested that Jerusalem is not outright rejecting the draft, leaving room for potential negotiations.
