Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, announced on Monday that he plans to “request all European Union (EU) Member States to collectively endorse a humanitarian ceasefire for the parties involved in the ongoing conflict in Gaza.”
In his statement after a meeting of EU Foreign Ministers in Luxembourg, Albares emphasized that “the resolution lies in the implementation of the two-state solution to establish a Palestinian state.”
He further warned that “escalating the violence to Lebanon or the West Bank would have profoundly grave repercussions.”
