German Chancellor Olaf Scholz sent a stern message on Thursday, October 12, to both Hezbollah and Iran.

“Hezbollah must not engage in the fighting with Israel,” he warned.

Scholz laid the blame on Tehran for backing Hamas to grow into the body that carried out Saturday’s attacks on Israel.

He told legislators in Germany he would work with regional powers in a bid to stop violence from spreading further.

“While we have no firm proof that Iran operationally supported this cowardly attack, it is clear to us all that without Iranian support, Hamas would have never been able to launch this unprecedented attack,” he said.
