Antoine Habib, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Banque de l’Habitat, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Scott Short, Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The aim is to offer technical and logistical expertise to the bank to help low- and middle-income people who will benefit from the institution’s loans to renovate, extend and improve their homes and, above all, to find solutions for wastewater treatment.
Scott explained that “the USAID-funded water rationalization and sanitation project will enable citizens and the private sector to improve their water management, increase the effectiveness of water resource protection and improve water distribution services by expanding the capacity of public facilities.”
