The Caretaker Minister of Finance, Youssef El-Khalil, issued a decision on Friday extending the deadline for the payment of the value-added tax (VAT). This extension aims to provide taxpayers with more time to settle this tax and, consequently, avoid late fines.
Accordingly, the deadline for submitting the periodic declaration and payment of VAT for the fourth quarter of the year 2023 has been extended until January 31, 2024.
