Lebanese artist Yasser Khattar unveils his new solo exhibition “Nass” at the Chaos Art Gallery in Beirut, celebrating the beauty of everyday life and the bonds that unite individuals. This captivating showcase is part of Beirut Art Days.

Chaos Art Gallery presents “Nass,” the new solo exhibition by Lebanese artist Yasser Khattar, which will be held from July 3 to 16, 2024. This exhibition marks Khattar’s return to Lebanon after exhibiting abroad for many years, notably in Syria, Russia, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Canada, Sweden, the United States, Malaysia, Greece, England, and Saudi Arabia.

Born in 1970, Yasser Khattar holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and has received numerous certificates and awards for his work. His artistic journey began very early, and he has participated in various exhibitions around the world, gaining international recognition.

In “Nass,” Khattar invites the public to explore the complex interaction between the human form and abstract expression. Through a variety of abstract and expressionist approaches, ranging from gestural painting to action painting, color fields, and lyrical abstraction, the artist depicts the deep sense of community and connection that defines our daily lives.

The exhibited works evoke a sense of nostalgia and appreciation for the simplicity and richness of life. They highlight the enduring values of connection, harmony, and shared experience, reminding us of the beauty found in everyday life and the importance of community and belonging.

“Nass” is a true ode to community life, where time seems to slow down, and every moment is savored. Khattar’s canvases capture these precious moments of sharing and conviviality, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in a world where human connections are at the heart of everything.

The exhibition’s opening will take place on Wednesday, July 3, from 5 PM to 9 PM at the Chaos Art Gallery, located at Tabaris, 14 Sursock Street, in Beirut. Visitors can discover Yasser Khattar’s works until July 16, from Monday to Saturday, from 11 AM to 7:30 PM.
