From July 3 to 6, 2024, Lebanon will vibrate to the rhythm of Beirut Art Days, an unprecedented cultural event that will bring together 70 artists and offer more than 130 free events across the entire country. Supported by the Cultural Agenda and the Beirut Art Days Committee, this ambitious initiative aims to celebrate the extraordinary resilience and dynamism of the Lebanese art scene.
Despite successive crises that have shaken Lebanon for more than a decade, the artistic and cultural scene has seen remarkable growth, demonstrating the country’s indomitable resilience and creativity. The Cultural Agenda and the Beirut Art Days Committee emphasize strongly: “It’s the beating heart of our nation.” They have just announced the first edition of Beirut Art Days, a major event that will take place over four days, from July 3 to 6, 2024, covering the entirety of Lebanese territory. This unprecedented cultural event will bring together no less than 70 participants, offering the public more than 130 events during this period.
Discovering Art in Its Diversity and Richness
Galleries, museums, theaters, and cultural venues across the country will graciously open their doors to offer visitors a wide variety of artistic experiences. The program, remarkably rich and diverse, will include exhibition tours, performances, screenings, discoveries of private collections usually inaccessible to the public, conferences, concerts, debates, artistic tours, exclusive exchanges with artists, and many other events.
Despite the difficult context, Lebanon can boast no less than 90 galleries and art foundations, 110 cultural venues, and 102 museums, which together produce nearly 2000 events per year. These impressive figures testify to the extraordinary vitality of the Lebanese art scene and its ability to transcend crises. Beirut Art Days will be an opportunity to celebrate this cultural effervescence through a unique program, the result of collaboration among all sector stakeholders.
Myriam Shuman, director of the Cultural Agenda, a reference institution in the Lebanese cultural landscape, highlights the significance of this event: “It is a powerful message we send to the world: Beirut will forever remain a radiant city of beauty and creativity, and art will always be our greatest asset, our most precious treasure.”

This ambitious event is the result of close collaboration between the Cultural Agenda, a key player that has been cataloging and promoting Lebanese artistic news since 1994, and the Beirut Art Days Committee, which brings together artists, intellectuals, and professionals determined to make the country’s culture shine.
The Dalloul Art Foundation (DAF), a leading institution dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of modern and contemporary Arab art, lends its valuable support to this first edition as the main partner. Its commitment underscores the importance of this event for the visibility of the Lebanese art scene.
