In the presence of His Excellency Mr. Walid Nassar, Minister of Tourism, His Excellency Mr. Ziad Al Makari, Minister of Information, and Mrs. Zeina Frem, President of the Jounieh International Festival Committee, along with media professionals, economic and tourism event representatives, and civil society officials, the Jounieh International Festival launched its 11th edition for the upcoming summer 2023. The press conference took place at the Salle Des Ambassadeurs, Casino Du Liban.
On Wednesday evening, July 26, the festival will welcome International Lebanese singer Ms. Abeer Nehme, considered one of the strongest voices in the Arab world. Through enchanting tunes and graceful lyrics, the audience will go back to the good old days for an enchanting moment that will warm their hearts.
On Sunday evening, July 30, the festival will present a touching national evening entitled “Lubnan: Hekayat Hobb” (“Lebanon, a story of love”), directed by the great poet Nizar Francis and featuring singer Carla Chamoun.
This festival edition launches a national photography competition for amateurs and professionals to showcase the beauty of Lebanon’s nature and culture. Each participant will share their way of seeing things through an innovative professional photo that illustrates the touristic and cultural aspects of Lebanon. A jury of experts will select the best photos, and the public will be able to participate to the selection through voting on the competition website. The results of the competition will be announced during a special ceremony held at the Salle des Ambassadeurs, Casino du Liban on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
