US envoy Amos Hochstein is reportedly waiting for efforts to succeed in reaching a ceasefire in Gaza, before returning to Lebanon and continuing his mission, once Hezbollah has announced a ceasefire on the southern front, and Israel has declared, in return, that it will not violate UNSC Resolution 1701 by land, sea and air, and has begun to examine the implementation of said resolution and settle the land border dispute between Lebanon and Israel.

However, it turns out that the Shebaa farms and the Kfarchouba hills are excluded from the dossier, as they are not part of the American envoy’s mission. Indeed, one politician is reported to have said that Hochstein’s mission would be limited to implementing the UN resolution, separating the South Lebanon front from the Gaza front, and electing a president as soon as a ceasefire begins in Gaza.
