Iran continued launching missile and drone attacks on Gulf states and Israel in the immediate aftermath of a ceasefire announcement with the United States on Wednesday, which was announced to take effect immediately.

The continued strikes have immediately cast doubt on the viability of the agreement, with active hostilities persisting across a broad regional front.

Gulf States Targeted in Ongoing Attacks

Missile and drone activity was reported across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain, according to multiple reports.

In Bahrain, authorities reported that two civilians were injured after debris from an intercepted Iranian drone struck residential areas in Sitra, near key energy facilities.

Explosions were also heard in the capital, Manama, with smoke seen rising from impacted areas, according to local sources, as emergency crews responded to fires linked to what officials described as “Iranian aggression.”

Qatar confirmed that it was responding to an active missile threat shortly after the ceasefire was announced, following earlier intercepted strikes that had already injured several civilians, including a child.

The attacks come amid weeks of sustained Iranian strikes targeting energy infrastructure across Gulf countries.

Israel Under Fire Within Minutes

At the same time, Israel reported multiple waves of Iranian missiles launched toward central areas, including Tel Aviv, triggering air raid sirens across the country.

Israeli military sources confirmed intercepting successive waves of missiles, the fifth barrage since the ceasefire announcement, while emergency services reported at least two people injured in southern areas.

In response, Israeli forces launched strikes targeting Iranian missile launch platforms, signaling that retaliatory operations remained active despite the supposed pause in fighting.

Later, Israel's military said Wednesday morning it had halted its attacks on Iran after completing the wave of overnight strikes but emphasized it remained ready to respond to any violation of a ceasefire announced by Washington.

"In accordance with directives from the political leadership, the IDF has ceased fire in the campaign against Iran and remains on high alert in defense, ready to respond to any violation," the military said in a statement.
