Israeli strikes intensified across Lebanon late Monday, with a series of airstrikes targeting Beirut’s southern suburbs, expanding operations beyond traditional Hezbollah strongholds and into new regions.

The escalation followed renewed warnings by Avichay Adraee and came amid Israeli claims of arresting members of the Radwan Force and seizing Kornet missiles south of the Litani River.

Strikes Intensify in Beirut’s Southern Suburbs and Beyond

Following renewed warnings issued by Avichay Adraee to residents of Dahieh, a wave of Israeli airstrikes targeted Beirut’s southern suburbs late Monday night, marking a further escalation in hostilities. Between 9:00 p.m. and midnight, at least five airstrikes struck several areas within Dahieh, including Bir el-Abed, Burj el-Barajneh, and Haret Hreik.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) later reported that a total of seven airstrikes were carried out overnight, also hitting the areas of Saint Therese, Kafaat, and Roueiss, in addition to the areas previously targeted.

Strike Outside Traditional Hezbollah Areas

In parallel with the bombardment in the southern suburbs, an Israeli strike targeted an apartment in the locality of Bchamoun.

This attack marks the second strike outside areas traditionally associated with Hezbollah within less than 24 hours, following the earlier strike in Hazmieh that killed one individual.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, the Bchamoun strike resulted in the deaths of two individuals.

IDF Claims Capture of Hezbollah Fighters

Prior to the escalation in Beirut, Avichay Adraee announced on X that Israeli forces from the Givati Brigade had captured two Hezbollah members.

According to the statement, the members belonged to the Radwan Force and were tracked while entering an infrastructure site allegedly built to launch anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) toward northern Israel.

Adraee added that Unit 504 determined the fighters had arrived from the Bekaa region north of the Litani River, arguing that this contradicts claims by the Lebanese Army that it had asserted control over areas south of the river.

Continued Strikes in Southern Lebanon

Airstrikes continued overnight into Tuesday morning across southern Lebanon. According to NNA, Israeli strikes targeted “Al Amana” fuel stations in Rashidiyah and Berghaliyeh, in addition to strikes in Selaa, which reportedly killed four individuals.

On Tuesday morning, Avichay Adraee renewed warnings to residents of southern Lebanon, as the escalation showed no signs of slowing.
