3. Three U.S. Service Members Killed, Five Seriously Wounded in Operation Epic Fury, CENTCOM Says

Three U.S. service members have been killed in action and five others are seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury, CENTCOM announced Sunday. Several additional personnel sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions and are in the process of being returned to duty.

Major combat operations are ongoing, and U.S. forces continue their response efforts, the command said.

CENTCOM emphasized that the situation remains fluid and, out of respect for the families, additional details, including the identities of the fallen, will be withheld until 24 hours after next-of-kin notifications are complete.

The command described the incident as part of ongoing military operations, noting that all efforts are being made to ensure the safety and recovery of personnel involved.
