Every year, the French capital doesn’t just host the world’s top fashion shows; it drives the industry’s economy.
According to the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, Paris Fashion Week generates around €1.2 billion in economic impact for the city.
Over several weeks, more than 110 haute couture and ready-to-wear shows unfold, drawing about 30,000 visitors from around the world – designers, buyers, influencers, journalists and fashion lovers.
Their arrival sets the entire Paris economy in motion: hotels fill up, restaurants are packed, taxis run nonstop, and boutiques and museums see record crowds, a real boost for tourism and the service sector.
And the benefits go far beyond direct spending. Fashion houses and partner brands also capitalize on the global media spotlight to drive sales and strengthen their international image.
In short, Paris Fashion Week is not just a celebration of glamour and creativity; it’s a powerful economic engine, where every gown and every front-row seat help keep Paris thriving.
