Two people were killed and eleven others wounded in two Israeli drone strikes in southern Lebanon on Friday.
The first strike targeted a car at the entrance of the Tebnine Governmental Hospital, in the Bint Jbeil district, killing Hussein Hassan Ramadan, a native of Taybeh in the Baalbek district.
The raid was followed by another strike that targeted a tanker truck between Kawthariyat al-Rez and Jdeidet Ansar, in the Nabatieh district. Ammar Haykal Ksaybani, was killed. Less than an hour later, as Hezbollah’s leader Naim Qassem began delivering a speech at a ceremony marking the first anniversary of Al-Radwan commander Ibrahim Akil’s death, a third airstrike hit the Harouf area. No casualties were reported.
The three raids come a day after a series of Israeli airstrikes hit the villages of Mays al-Jabal, Kfar Tebnit, Debbine, Borj Qalaway, and Naqoura in southern Lebanon, where Israeli forces said Hezbollah “military infrastructure” was destroyed.
Tel Aviv has repeatedly announced that it will continue striking the structures and operatives of the pro-Iranian group “to eliminate any threat against its territory.”
On Friday morning, Israeli drones flew at low altitude over several areas in the south of the country, dropping sound bombs in some sectors, including Markaba and Odaisseh.
