A noticeable shift has taken place along Beirut’s airport road, where banners declaring “We are all with the army” have replaced posters of Hezbollah and Iranian leaders that long dominated the route.

The change comes as the Lebanese government actively implements a disarmament plan targeting Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in refugee camps. Weapons from Palestinian camps, including rockets and heavy arms, have been handed over to the Lebanese Armed Forces, reflecting a broader effort to consolidate state authority and ensure national security.

The new banners have been interpreted as a symbolic endorsement of the army and the government’s initiatives to reassert control over armed groups.
