The Lebanese national karate team won silver and bronze on the first day of the Arab Karate Championship in Amman, Jordan.
Randa Choucair won silver in the junior category, while Leen Kain claimed bronze in the same division, in the under-59 kg weight class.
On this occasion, the president of the Lebanese Karate Federation, Moussa Fattouch, contacted the head of the delegation, Elie Aoun, to extend his congratulations to Choucair and Kain, expressing hope that the athletes from the Land of the Cedars will secure more medals.
It should be noted that the Arab Karate Championship concludes on August 22, while the West Asian Karate Championship will be held on August 24 and 25. Lebanese athletes are expected to win many medals in both competitions.
