A child was killed and his father was seriously injured on Wednesday following an Israeli drone strike that targeted the courtyard of their home in the village of Touline, located in the Marjayoun district of southern Lebanon.

Earlier on Wednesday, an Israeli drone dropped two sound bombs over the town of Khiam, while another launched a similar device toward Yaroun, in the Bint Jbeil district.

Separately, the Israeli army announced it had eliminated a Hezbollah operative in Lebanon’s Beqaa region. In a statement, the military said the target had been responsible for directing cells in Syria to fire rockets toward the occupied Golan Heights.

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee identified the operative as Hussam Qassem Ghrayeb, stating that he was killed in an airstrike carried out by an Israeli Air Force aircraft in the Beqaa on Tuesday night.
