In a sweeping and urgent declaration, world leaders attending the United Nations Two-State Solution Conference issued a unified statement calling for an immediate end to the war in Gaza and outlining a detailed roadmap for peace and reconstruction.

The statement, issued within the past hour, emphasizes a collective commitment to ending the conflict and implementing a two-state solution within 15 months. Delegates strongly condemned both the October 7 attacks by Hamas on Israeli civilians and the ongoing Israeli strikes targeting civilians in Gaza.

Central to the plan is the call for Hamas to release all hostages, end its rule in Gaza, and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority. The conference supported the establishment of a Transitional Administrative Committee to govern Gaza under the umbrella of the Palestinian Authority immediately after a ceasefire.

A temporary UN mission will be deployed to the Gaza Strip at the request of the Palestinian Authority to monitor the ceasefire, oversee the implementation of a peace agreement, and gradually transfer internal security responsibilities to Palestinian security forces.

In a significant diplomatic endorsement, participants welcomed President Mahmoud Abbas’ commitment to establishing a non-armed Palestinian state and called for steps to unify the West Bank and Gaza under a single Palestinian administration.

The conference further emphasized the urgent need for the unconditional delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and backed the creation of an international fund dedicated to the reconstruction of the war-torn enclave. The role of UNRWA was declared “currently indispensable” in addressing the dire humanitarian needs on the ground.

While the conference’s declarations reflect a growing international consensus for peace, they also highlight the mounting urgency: “The Gaza War Must End Now,” the statement declared unequivocally.
