The Palestinian Authority said Thursday that two Palestinian teenagers were killed by the Israeli army overnight near Bethlehem, in the southern occupied West Bank, while the army said it had killed “terrorists.”
"The General Authority for Civil Affairs informed the Ministry of Health of the martyrdom of young Ahmad Ali Asaad Ashira al-Salah (15 years old) and young Mohammad Khaled Aliyan Issa (17 years old), who were killed by occupation (Israel, ed.) gunfire last night, Wednesday, in the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem," said the body linked to the Palestinian Authority.
When contacted by AFP, the Israeli army said it had killed two individuals among a group of "several terrorists."
"During an Israeli army operation near the al-Khader area, soldiers identified several terrorists throwing Molotov cocktails toward a highway," the army said.
"The soldiers responded by firing at the terrorists, killing two of them."
