A wave of Israeli attacks struck southern Lebanon on Friday, beginning with a dawn incursion into the village of Mays al-Jabal, in the Bint Jbeil district. An Israeli patrol crossed the border and destroyed a textile factory that had recently been refurbished after a previous strike. The facility had just resumed operations.

Also on Friday morning, a bulldozer belonging to the South Council was targeted in the Karkazan neighborhood, north of Mays al-Jabal. In the nearby town of Aita al-Shaab, an Israeli shell struck an inhabited house near Tallet Shawat.

Separately, a ground unit from the Israeli army breached the technical fence near the Wazzani area and advanced toward the riverbed. Three soldiers from the unit reportedly crossed the Blue Line.

On Thursday, Israeli forces stormed and detonated the home of Abbas Badir near Kfar Kila in the Marjayoun district.

The incidents also extended beyond southern Lebanon. On Thursday evening, a targeted Israeli strike hit a vehicle in the Khalde area, just south of Beirut. On board was Qassem al-Husseini, identified as a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. He was reportedly the intended target of the strike.

This military escalation comes amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding a US-brokered plan aimed at de-escalating the crisis. Negotiations over the proposal submitted by envoy Tom Barrack have yet to yield tangible results.
